DuPont has named Jon D. Kemp as president of its Electronics & Communications business effective Nov. 1, 2015, succeeding David B. Miller, who has elected to retire after 34 years of service to the company. Kemp will report to DuPont EVP James C. Collins Jr.
“Dave has built a distinguished career through his drive for results and his unique business acumen,” said DuPont EVP James C. Collins Jr. “His passion for coaching and mentoring others has helped shape many of the company’s current and future leaders, and his energy for building strong customer partnerships have contributed significantly to the Electronics & Communications business success now and in the future. I am delighted Jon will be leading the Electronics & Communications business.”
Kemp joined DuPont in 2005 as part of the company’s Management Development Leadership Program. He has held leadership positions in sales, marketing and business development in several businesses, most recently as global business director, Circuit & Packaging Materials. Prior to DuPont, Kemp worked as a chief economist and business development manager for the Utah Office of Economic Development.
Miller joined DuPont in 1981 as an electrical engineer supporting the Atomic Energy Division at the Savannah River Works in Aiken, SC. After becoming director, investor relations, Miller began a series of leadership positions in the Electronics & Communications business.
