As Printed Electronics Europe 2016 in Berlin’s Estrel Berlin Hotel and Convention Center heads into its second day, attendees are gathering plenty of insights into the possibilities that flexible and printed electronics has to offer.
Yesterday, numerous end users offered their thoughts on how flexible and printed electronics are impacting their brands and industries, and today’s presentations will look to do the same.
Organized by IDTechEx, Printed Electronics Europe 2016 will feature two tracks centered on Printed Electronics, as well as seven co-located conferences – 3D Printing Europe; Energy Harvesting & Storage Europe; Electric Vehicles; Graphene & 2D Materials; Internet of Things Applications Europe; Sensors Europe and Wearables Europe.
Printed Electronics Europe features two tracks today. Track one covers 3D Printed Electronics, Structural Electronics and Printed and Flexible Electronics Manufacturing Innovations.
3D Printed Electronics opens the first Printed Electronics Europe track. Henrik Johansson, technology development, LiteOn Mobile, begins the session. TNO scientist Rajesh Mandamparambil, BotFactory CTO Carlos Ospina and Neotech Services MTP managing director Dr. Martin Hedges round out this subject.
Structural Electronics will be the focus of four talks, starting with Dr. Antti Keränen, CTO and co-founder of TactoTek. Dr. Keränen will be followed by John Voultos, business development manager, DuPont Microcircuit Materials. Dr. Susanne Goldbach, project manager at Philips, and Dr. Ashok Sridhar, senior scientist, Sabic, will also discuss Structural Electronics.
Printed and Flexible Electronics Manufacturing Innovations will be the subject of eight talks. DoMicro BV managing director Marcel Grooten opens the session, followed by Pit Teunissen, printing process engineer for Holst Centre/TNO. Dr. Wouter Brok, manager research - Business Unit Printing Meyer Burger Group, and Dr. Jan Bouwstra, senior research associate, FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe BV are next up.
Dr. Kai Keller, director business development, Notion Systems GmbH, will follow, with European Commission project officer Philippe Reynaert set as the next presenter. Asahi Kasei manager Masayuki Abe and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece Aristotle University of Thessaloniki’s Dr. Argiris Laskarakis, head of Organic Electronics Group, will close the first Printed Electronics Europe track.
