Quantica, an advanced additive manufacturing technology company, will team up with ALTANA Cubic Ink with the aim to drive the innovation of new materials in 2D and 3D inkjet printing.
As part of this cooperation, ALTANA’s Cubic Ink High Performance Materials brand will provide materials that will serve as a starter kit for users working with Quantica’s groundbreaking NovoJet OPEN printing system.
The NovoJet OPEN, an open lab printer premiered by Quantica in late 2023, is capable of using new materials for inkjet application development, enabling users to work with their own materials. The purpose of the ALTANA starter kit is to offer a base material for those who lack materials and are looking for a place to start.
“We are excited to work with a partner like ALTANA and its Cubic Ink brand, combining their material expertise and our technological capabilities, we see this as a complimentary alliance,” said Grace Chang, Quantica head of product management and partnership. “They understand the opportunities and obstacles inherent in inkjet and multi-material additive manufacturing, and are excited to team up to offer the industry new materials.”
“Quantica’s high viscosity printing technology has the potential to bring multi-material 3D printing to an industrial level,” added Dr. Max Röttger, head of Cubic Ink. “We are excited to support, thanks to our in-depth knowledge in UV-formulation chemistry and in both inkjet as well as DLP/LCD 3D printing technologies.”
