Avery Dennison is inviting attendees to “See Beyond" at NRF 2023: Retail's Big Show, taking place Jan. 15-17 at the Javits Convention Center (Booth #5721 on the main floor, Level 3). The company will showcase how Avery Dennison's advanced digital solutions unlock the value of data-driven insights.
With the ability to interact directly with items at the Avery Dennison booth, NRF attendees will be able to learn about a product's end-to-end journey. Starting with raw materials, they will see how the company's digital ID platform, featuring Avery Dennison's connected product cloud atma.io, and its broad portfolio of digital triggers, including RFID, to track the products' full chain of custody along the supply chain.
The lively, interactive demonstrations will illustrate how brands and retailers can benefit from real-time insights to help businesses make informed decisions to improve supply chain accuracy, and efficiency, reduce waste, enable circularity, and meet net-zero targets.
"NRF is a key opportunity for us to demonstrate Avery Dennison's global leadership in RFID technology and our portfolio of digital supply chain and retail solutions,” said Francisco Melo, SVP/GM for Avery DennisonSmartrac. “The evolution of Avery Dennison into the driving force behind digital ID innovation will be on exhibit at NRF where we are showcasing the value our solutions unlock for the retail industry."
Currently, the retail industry faces multiple challenges surrounding waste, which can be addressed by increasing visibility throughout the supply chain. Recent research conducted by Avery Dennison, compiled in a report entitled Missing Billions, found that a total of $163 billion of global inventory is wasted due to overproduction and expiry. Equating to an average of 8% of inventory - more than the entire global inventory value for beauty and personal care alone.
"The need for increased inventory accuracy, improved traceability and further automation has never been greater as companies around the world seek more efficient and ultimately more sustainable supply chains," said Melo.
