LOPEC 2020 has been canceled due to the spread of COVID-19 across Europe, organizers announced.
"This measure is taken in consultation with the industry association OE-A, co-organizer of LOPEC, and in responsibility for the health of exhibitors and visitors," organizers said.
“In close cooperation with our LOPEC partner OE-A and our exhibitors, it is unfortunately not possible for us to successfully hold the event this year for participants of the Exhibition and Conference," said Falk Senger, managing director of Messe München and the executive who oversees LOPEC. "Canceling LOPEC 2020 was a painful decision. By making it, we have assumed our responsibility for the health of our exhibitors, conference speakers and visitors.”
“The OE-A supports this step," added Klaus Hecker, OE-A managing director. "We will now put all our energy into organizing a successful LOPEC 2021.“
The next LOPEC will be held March 23-25, 2021.
Organizers added that, as planned, the topic of printed electronics will play a key role during the world’s leading trade fair electronica from Nov. 10-13, 2020. Interested individuals can participate as part of a joint LOPEC/OE-A booth and an expanded forum program.
