Zebra Technologies Corporation donated technology to support front-line workers in the Huoshenshan and Shenzhen University General Hospitals in support of their epidemic prevention efforts against the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The hospitals will be using Zebra barcode printers and supplies to produce patient ID wristbands, patient records and specimen labels along with Zebra scanners for the collection of patient data.
Additionally, Zebra employees from the Greater China region have contributed cash donations to the Wuhan Charity Federation.
“The coronavirus is taking a significant human toll, and our hearts go out to all the families impacted by this outbreak,” said April Shen, Country head, Zebra Technologies Greater China. “We have donated our products for use in Wuhan along with cash contributions from our employees to support those battling the virus. In addition, we are taking steps to ensure the safety of our employees. Zebra has also been diversifying our sourcing footprint and providing alternatives to maintain the supply of our products.”
