temicon ordered from Morphotonics two of its newest roll-to-plate GEN5 piloting & production lines to enable turn-key foundry services for large-area nanoimprinting in Germany and Asia.
As demand to produce high precision micro and nanostructures on larger substrates at affordable costs is growing rapidly, both companies join forces to enable turn-key roll-to-plate (R2P) nanoimprinting foundry services.
Enabling mass production of large-area micro/nanoscale patterns and complex 3D structures with low cost and high throughput opens the door and paves the way for many commercial applications not previously conceptualized or economically feasible.
Applications range from new display technologies, novel lighting concepts in buildings or the automotive sector, highly efficient solar solutions to micro-optics and life science products. R2P large-area nanoimprinting greatly enhances the performance of such products and devices.
“I am very pleased that in Morphotonics we have found a focused technology partner for R2P nanoimprinting to lead complex customer projects from prototyping to automated series production," temicon GmbH CEO Dr. Oliver Humbach said.
“We are excited that temicon has chosen Morphotonics’ GEN5 roll-to-plate technology as the new standard in nanoimprinting on discrete substrates," added Morphotonics BV CEO Dr. Onno Lint.
