Veridos GmbH, the joint venture of the Giesecke+Devrient (G+D) security group and the Bundesdruckerei (German federal printing office), appointed Andreas Räschmeier as its new CEO.
On Nov. 1, Räschmeier, 52, will succeed the retiring Hans-Wolfgang Kunz.
Most recently, Räschmeier served as global VP of G+D's Currency Technology group company.
"We thank Hans-Wolfgang Kunz for his loyalty and exceptional, outstanding work. He not only contributed decisively to Veridos' success in the company's founding years but also provided important impetus for the further development and growth of the G+D Group over four decades," Group CEO Ralf Wintergerst said. "With Andreas Räschmeier, we welcome an able successor from within our own ranks, who will continue the Veridos success story."
"I'm greatly honored by the trust that G+D and the Bundesdruckerei are placing in me and I'm excited about my new and challenging responsibilities," Räschmeier said. "My principal aim in times of rapid growth is to lead Veridos with circumspection and stability towards the future."
