Smartrac Technology Group opened its new office in Irvine, CA.
The company will lead its global sales organization, product management and product marketing functions from the new Southern California site, located at 9008 Research Dr., Irvine, CA 92618.
In addition to staff who previously worked from the company’s former Santa Monica location, Smartrac is planning to hire new employees for many business areas represented in the city of Irvine, and the surrounding Orange County area. Once the office is fully operational, Smartrac also plans to establish its first dedicated, global Customer Experience Center on site.
Serving as the leading example for future CECs in the EMEA and APAC regions, the Irvine Customer Experience Center will provide Smartrac’s customers with an overview of the latest RFID-based innovations for retail and industrial applications, plus the opportunity to see live demos of the company’s IoT Platform Smart Cosmos, its customer engagement solutions and many other applications.
“Technology companies are helping define the Irvine of today, and with good reason,” said Irvine Mayor Donald P. Wagner.
“To maintain and enhance our position as a leading provider and developer of RFID products and IoT solutions, we found it indispensable to have a strong foothold here in California, which is undoubtedly one of the world’s innovation hotspots,” said Irvine-based Amir Mobayen, chief revenue officer of Smartrac. “Fortunately, the expansion means that we have ample space and even more opportunities to serve our customers, and provide them with high-performance, innovative products and solutions.”
