Smart door locks from Yale, a subsidiary of ASSA ABLOY, are enabling householders across the US to enjoy the benefits of the Amazon Key Home Kit, including secure keyless access and the option to receive in-home deliveries.
Yale now offers three model options for the Amazon Key Home Kit. New additions are the Yale Assure Lock Pushbutton Deadbolt with key override, and the slim, key-free Yale Assure Lock SL, the slimmest electronic deadbolt on the market with an edge-to-edge touchscreen keypad.
These join the Yale Assure Lock Touchscreen, a touchscreen deadbolt with a key override, available since Amazon Key was announced in October 2017. The locks offer contemporary styles to fit the aesthetic of any door.
Yale’s digital door locks for Amazon Key help to make people’s lives easier in many ways. No more leaving a physical key under a door mat; with the easy-to-use Amazon Key app, householders can provide codes to guests for entry, assigning when and for how long a person has access.
The access rights can be tailored to be permanent or temporary for friends and family or on a one-time basis for service people.
Together with the Yale range of smart locks, the Amazon Key Home Kit also enables optional in-home delivery exclusively for Amazon Prime members. Prime members in select cities and surrounding areas can opt-in to have Amazon packages securely delivered just inside their front door. Members can watch their delivery happening live or view a video clip of it later.
Amazon Key everyday use features are now available to all Amazon customers in the US; Prime members in 37 cities can take advantage of optional in-home delivery.
