Altierre Corp. announced that retail technology sales veteran Rob Crane has joined the company as SVP of global sales. In addition, automotive industry veteran John Marenas has joined Altierre as VP of automotive sales.
“With our applications deployed in over 1,000 U.S. cities and over 300 cities in France, we are well positioned to be a global leader providing innovative IoT technologies to several verticals, including retail and automotive,” said Sunit Saxena, Altierre chairman and CEO. “Rob and John bring tremendous industry-specific expertise and knowledge as well as extensive contacts in these two key verticals. Their addition to our team gives us a significant advantage as we aggressively penetrate these markets that are ripe for IoT transformation. Traditional retailers are now looking to adopt IoT technology to better compete in a seamless omnichannel world.”
Crane has more than 15 years of experience in retail, customer experience, e-commerce, business intelligence and analytics. He previously served in leading roles of retail sales for SAP and Oracle.
“With the growing threat from Amazon and other e-commerce platforms, retailers are under tremendous pressure to change how they do business. They need the ability to market to shoppers in the aisle, create pricing incentives in real-time and understand shopper preferences, which is more important than ever,” said Crane.
Marenas brings more than 20 years of automotive marketing and enterprise sales experience, most recently serving as director of sales for V12 Data, an industry leader in omnichannel automotive intelligence. Prior to V12 Data, he served as EVP sales for International Brake Components. He also served as national director at SearchOptics, a digital marketing firm, where he was responsible for business development for automotive OEMs and top-tier auto dealers groups.
“Automotive represents a lucrative high growth market for Altierre,” said Marenas.
