A biometric security bracelet; a new generation of ultra-light solar sensors for satellites; a leading-edge process for calibrating watch movements – these are just a few examples of innovation realized by CSEM and its industrial partners in 2016.
This financial year was characterized by a keen interest on the part of Swiss companies for the program launched by the CTI to compensate for the strong Swiss franc. CSEM is undertaking approximately 40 projects
As a not-for-profit organization, CSEM closed the 2016 financial year with a positive result of CHF 152,280 ($156,000) due to revenues slightly in excess of CHF 79 million ($81 million). The confidence that the Confederation again demonstrated last year enables CSEM to establish a solid base in Switzerland for developing tomorrow’s state-of-the-art technologies, with the goal of transferring them to the economy.
Three new administrators are joining the Executive Board of CSEM. Martin Vetterli and Marc Gruber will represent EPFL, while Edouard Mignon will represent Richemont International.
These administrators are replacing Patrick Aebischer, Adrienne Corboud Fumagalli and Claude Vuillemez, who are resigning. CSEM thanks them for their commitment.
