Emerson Automation Solutions has opened its new office in Langenfeld, Germany, which showcases the latest automation technology that can help manufacturers and process companies achieve operational excellence through a program Emerson calls Operational Certainty.
Operational Certainty is an innovative technology and engineering-based program launched by Emerson to help industrial companies achieve Top Quartile performance - defined as achieving operations and capital performance in the top 25% of peer companies.
The new Langenfeld office provides Emerson customers with access to a range of testing, training and demonstration facilities, giving them first-hand experience of innovative Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology.
A demonstration center enables customers to explore new ways of managing remote operations and enabling easier collaboration with experts located anywhere in the world. It also allows customers to observe aspects of Emerson’s Plantweb digital ecosystem - a scalable portfolio of hardware, software, intelligent devices and services, which provides the technology foundation for companies to securely implement IIoT applications. The facility also includes a dedicated area for performing factory acceptance testing of control and safety systems.
The new 5500 square meter office will be home to approximately 270 employees. Its opening marks 50 years since Emerson first established a presence in Germany.
“We are proud of our achievements in Germany over the past half-century, and as our latest technologies now begin to unlock the vast potential of Industry 4.0, we look forward to exciting opportunities ahead of us to meet customers’ needs,” said Fuchs.
