FlexTech’s Nano-Bio Manufacturing Consortium (NBMC) will hold the third in its popular workshop series, Blood, Sweat & Tears, on Nov. 2- 3, 2016, in Arlington, VA. Subject matter experts will explore the market demands and manufacturing challenges for medically relevant medical and environmental monitoring systems.
This workshop will feature four topics with presentations and then focused breakout discussions on: end users reliability issues; chemistry/microfluidics; sensors; power, communication and electronics.
Speakers include representatives from GE Global Research; MEMs & Sensors Industry Group; University of Cincinnati; Dublin City University; Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Johns Hopkins University; and a special keynote address from the White House – Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). Visit www.nbmcworkshop.org for a detailed look at the agenda.
Blood, Sweat & Tears (BS&T) is a series of workshops exploring nano-bio electronics and wearable human monitoring technologies and applications. Since August 2015, NBMC has been conducting these forums for the understanding, education, and promotion of non-invasive human performance monitoring technology and manufacturing.
BS&T I brought together industry and university innovators to explore current products, current research innovations, technical vision and challenges. BS&T II targeted users’ needs and specifications for today’s medical professionals and their patients: Army and Air Force soldiers and pilots and high performance athletes.
