Mustafa Ozgen, QD Vision’s CEO, spoke at the 2015 China annual electronic information industry economic operation and color TV industry research conference in Beijing. Ozgen highlighted the company’s Color IQ technology.
The award-winning Color IQ technology is pushing the boundaries of quantum dot innovation. In 2013, the first commercially available television with Color IQ quantum dot technology appeared. That was quickly followed by the first desktop monitor with Color IQ technology and the first curved television with Color IQ technology in 2015.
QD Vision also debuted the first branded television to achieve greater than 90% of the Rec. 2020 color standard. During the 2016 Consumer Electronic Show, QD Vision and Sigma Designs announced a partnership to enable Rec. 2020 High Dynamic Range televisions with quantum dot technology.
“As an industry, we must set our sights on performance targets that are both achievable and transformative for consumers and our industry – anything less is unsatisfactory.” said Ozgen. “Wide color gamut, when combined with 4K and now 8K pixel densities and high dynamic range, will revolutionize the user experience across the growing variety of displays in our lives.”
The annual conference is hosted by the China Video Industry Association (CVIA) and All View Consulting (ATC) an industry research organization in China.
