Impinj released ItemSense software, which allows partners and end users to quickly and easily integrate Item Intelligence – the identity, location and authenticity of everyday items – into existing and new enterprise and consumer applications.
Impinj’s accompanying launch of its Alliance Partner Program provides resources, tool, and joint sales and marketing support for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) that are interested in augmenting existing applications or developing new applications based on ItemSense.
“ItemSense unifies RAIN RFID deployments into a single, scalable infrastructure, creating value for businesses and their customers. The Impinj platform gives businesses access to Item Intelligence in their ERP systems, inventory-control and other business applications to drive detailed analytics, measure replenishment effectiveness, track assets and more,” said Eric Brodersen, Impinj president and COO.
ItemSense software extracts Item Intelligence and delivers it to enterprise applications. It aggregates and transforms raw RAIN RFID data into timely, business-critical Item Intelligence. Currently in limited availability, customers can now license ItemSense.
Impinj engaged several of its customers and partners during ItemSense development, including Detego, Intelligent InSites and Nedap, to test and validate the solutions it enables. These collaborations have yielded proof-of-concepts for business applications in several verticals.
The Impinj Alliance Partner Program enables ISVs to leverage Item Intelligence in existing applications or when developing new applications for customers across industries including retail, healthcare and many others. Partners get access to product documentation, developer support, a developer sandbox and code samples.
“Through the Impinj Alliance Partner Program, partners are developing new solutions for retailers and healthcare providers that solve critical business challenges and offer compelling consumer experiences,” said Brodersen.
