Awarepoint announced the addition of Thomas Warlan and Bernard Lee to its management team. They support the company’s continued development of its next generation location platform based on the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi standards. Warlan joined Awarepoint as SVP of software engineering and Lee has joined as director of product marketing.
“Thomas brings a strong track record of software ecosystem development and driving solutions to market while Bernard has great experience in product marketing and product line management,” said Tim Roche, Awarepoint CEO. “Both individuals will support Awarepoint’s new BLE based location services and continued healthcare RTLS leadership.”
Warlan has more than 30 years of industry experience, including more than 11 years with Cisco Systems. At Cisco, he led the Application Solutions Engineering team responsible for driving engineering and development of solutions for multiple product verticals including, healthcare, sports and entertainment, retail and financial. Lee spent more than 18 years at Cisco Systems and 12 years at Nortel Networks. He has held a number of senior manager roles across product marketing, vertical marketing, market management, product management and engineering.
