At the 2015 World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi from January 19-22, REC, a leading global provider of solar energy solutions, is highlighting the all-round strengths that keep the company at the forefront of the global solar industry: product innovations, a new alliance with a best-in-class partner and investigative projects to make solar energy as efficient and sustainable as possible – all at the REC booth 7521.
The new REC TwinPeak Series solar panel will be on display for the first time in the Middle East region and demonstrates the company’s continued leadership as an innovator in the solar industry. The new product offers a cutting-edge solution on a polysilicon platform that can strongly compete with monocrystalline solar panels on efficiency and performance, which are essential to the rooftop solar markets. Based on an innovative design that provides more power output per square meter, the new panel is rated up to 275 watt peak (Wp), resulting in 17% panel efficiency, and features 120 half-cut multi-crystalline cells, four bus bars, passivated emitter rear cell (PERC) technology, and a split junction box.
Like all REC products, the REC TwinPeak Series is 100% free from potential induced degradation, avoiding power losses even in the harshest conditions and environments in terms of high temperatures, like in the Middle East region.
Also on display at the REC booth is a scale model of a new test facility in Dubai. With around 130 installed solar panels of various technologies, including multicrystalline, monocrystalline and thin film, this will be the most modern and biggest solar panel test facility worldwide in terms of variety.
“We’re highlighting the combination of strengths that make REC a sought-after partner in solar energy projects all over the world: high-performing, reliable solar panels, broad expertise in initiatives that move the industry forward, European heritage, and our commitment to lasting partnerships,” said Luc Graré, senior VP sales and marketing at REC.
